Mookie Betts had a down June, but he's more than making up for it in July. The 2018 American League MVP
homered three times in last night's 10-5 victory over
The Bronx Embalmers at Fenway Park. Betts went 4-5 on the night—adding a double and knocking in five runs, while scoring four. Boston pounded out 14 hits
on their way to the 10-5 win. Newcomer
Andrew Cashner pitched well—going 6.2 innings and giving up just three earned runs, while striking out six. Also in on the onslaught were:
Rafael Devers (3-5) and
J.D. Martinez (2-4, HR, 3 RBIs). The win moved the Red Sox to within 9 games of
The Evil Ones in the American League East. Boston is also now just 0.5 games out of the second American League Wild Card spot.
