David Robertson and
Adam Ottavino are reportedly the
top two relief targets of
Dave Dombrowski and the Red Sox. Ottavino is a former
Northeastern University Husky, and holds that school's career and single season records for strikeouts. Last year for the Rockies, he posted a 2.43 ERA in 77.2 innings of work. Robertson had a 3.23 ERA across 69.2 innings for
The Evil Ones in 2018. Of course, if they could
responsibly re-sign
Craig Kimbrel and
Joe Kelly, that would be the preferred route—but that seems less and less likely for both.
