Troy Tulowitzki held a workout yesterday in California—which was attended by 11 of the 30 MLB clubs. The Red Sox were one of the eleven—as were The Evil Ones, Giants, Angels, Cubs, Padres, White Sox, Orioles, Phillies, Tigers and Pirates. For basically the major-league minimum (around half-a million per year), any team can have the five-time All-Star—who was released by the Blue Jays on December 11th of this year. Finally fully healthy, the 34-year-old stated, "I think I needed to get myself right, mentally and physically. I took a year off to get myself right. I’m looking forward to playing the game I love." The Red Sox might think about taking a flyer on 'Tulo'—since he is apparently willing to play some second base. If he has a sudden "talent reincarnation", it might be worth it to sign him. While he hasn't played in the bigs since July of 2017, the stats over his 12-year MLB career (mostly with the Colorado Rockies) make his acquisition tempting: .290 BA, 224 HRs, 779 RBIs, .495 DLG, .856 OPS.
