Red Sox manager
Alex Cora has been named one of three finalists for the
American League Manager Of The Year award. The other finalists are Tampa Bay Rays Manager (and former Red Sox catcher)
Kevin Cash and Oakland A's Manager
Bob Melvin. While all three are
certainly worthy of the honor—our guess is that Cash will win it based on his taking a low-salary, trade- and free-agent decimated roster of no-names to a 90-win season. As great as Cora's managerial style was—and as amazing as his 108-win season was—Cash's achievement is truly astounding in a division with behemoths like the Sox and
Evil Ones.
Stay tuned!
