Andrew Benintendi is a finalist for the
2018 Rawlings Gold Glove Award in the American League. Also joining
"Air Beni" as a finalist are:
Brett Gardner of the New York Yankees and
Alex Gordon of the Kansas City Royals. Benintendi is so far hitting a "mere" .500 in the 2018 World Series—in addition to making a spectacular iconic catch in Game Two of
The Fall Classic. Benintendi finished second in the American League Rookie-Of-The-Year balloting in 2017—and has a career batting average of .282 in his time with the Red Sox (333 total regular-season games).
