Alex Cora revealed today that injured starter
David Price (left wrist contusion)
will likely pitch on Friday against the World Series Champion Houston Astros at Fenway Park. The
other injured lefty,
Chris Sale, will pitch at "at some point" in the same homestand—which will run through Sunday, September 16th. Moreover, Sale's start may only be as a so-called "opener" (one or two innings) to essentially get his feet wet after a long layoff. In addition to this limited start, Sale is expected to make two
full starts before the end of the regular season. Much of the way forward for Sale will be determined by how well he fares in today's bullpen session. Stay tuned!
