For the 17th time,
WEEI radio and
NESN have partnered to present the
Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon (presented by the Arbella Insurance Foundation). Over the past two days, thanks to the contributions of thousands of people across the nation
and the world, the telethon raised $4,456,571 to help battle cancer. Since the inception of the event back in 2002,
more than $53 million has been raised.
The Jimmy Fund solely supports Boston's
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, raising funds for adult and pediatric cancer care and research to improve the chances of survival for cancer patients around the world. Since its founding in 1948,
The Jimmy Fund has been a leader—through partnership with the Boston Red Sox (and originally the Boston Braves)—in raising funds and awareness for this important cause.
Thank you to all who supported this year's radio-telethon!
