Red Sox Aiming To Have Chris Sale Start Against Toronto On Wednesday
In addition to the 15-7 drubbing of The Evil Ones, the Red Sox got more good news regarding Chris Sale's DL stint. The team is "shooting for" the lanky lefty to start the second game of the upcoming road trip on Wednesday in Toronto. Said manager Alex Cora, "We're shooting for the second day in Toronto. So whatever day one, day two is for him he'll go through the progression (of throwing) and we'll go there." The Cy Young candidate himself has stated, "I know we're the Boston Red Sox and all this other stuff. But I'm very optimistic that this is going to be a very short stint on the DL. But it being the DL, people are kinda antsy. I'm not worried about it at all." If all he misses is one start against The Pinstriped Posers (that we won anyway), that would be just fine.
