While meandering around 106-year-old Fenway Park before last night's game (in 96-degree heat), we happened by an interesting sight behind the left-field grandstand area. The executive offices of the Red Sox lie just behind the area—and a conference room is often directly visible to those who know what to look for. Needless to say, we know what to look for. Sure enough, we witnessed a fully-filled meting room—with multiple team luminaries huddled over what appeared to be a speaker-phone conference call.
Dave Dombrowski seemed to be in charge of the conversation, but also in the room were principal owner
John Henry and team President
Sam Kennedy. Who knows, maybe some sort of waiver-wire deadline trade was in the works? Clearly,
The Carmine Hose are in need of
at least one additional bullpen arm—and maybe even a starter if
David Price or
Chris Sale don't return soon. Stay tuned, Friday is the final day for deals!
