So, after the Red Sox lost a key starter (
Chris Sale) to the DL prior to the big Yankee series,
The Evil Ones have followed suit.
The Pinstriped Posers today placed newly-acquired starter
J.A. Happ (who was slated to start Saturday) on the disabled list. Happ's DL stint is retroactive to July 30—and is connected to his bout with 'hand, foot, and mouth disease'.
Luis Cessa will start in Happ's place on Saturday. Happ's last start against Boston resulted in a Blue Jay loss—when he allowed five runs in just 3 2/3 innings. The right-handed Cessa has made three 2018 starts for
The Bronx Embalmers—going 1-2 with a 3.10 ERA.
