According to
The Boston Globe's
Peter Abraham, Red Sox ace
Chris Sale will begin a throwing program today. On the disabled list for the second time this season with left-shoulder inflammation, the lanky lefty is sorely missed as the Red Sox experience their first real tailspin of 2018. When asked how his balky shoulder felt, Sale responded,
"Like Paul Bunyan's ox." We
think that's a good thing, although, as far as we know, the ox in question—ironically named
"Babe" (of
course, these are the Red Sox)—was
not a port-sider.
