FenwayNation Poll shows that a plurality of readers (43%) want the Red Sox to focus mostly on
starting pitching in the run-up to the July 31st MLB trade deadline. As the chart shows, nearly as many (39%) think
relief pitching should be the priority, while 11% think the team should simply
stand pat at the deadline and not make any moves. Only 7% think the Red Sox should address their
second-base situation—considering the uncertainty of
Dustin Pedroia's return. So far, there have been no votes cast for either a
right-handed bat off the bench or a
