Drew Pomeranz Gives Up Four HRs In AAA Rehabilitation Start At Pawtucket
In a troublesome sign, Drew Pomeranz was hammered last night in a AAA rehab start (bicep tendinitis) for the Pawtucket Red Sox. The 29-year old lefty allowed five runs on four hits—all of them home runs—in just 2.2 innings of work. Said Pollyanna Pomeranz, "Any time you come down for rehab starts, you're really more concerned about how you feel than numbers. I felt good, felt pretty good. I think I got what I wanted to out of today....Arm felt great. Shoulder felt great. Like I said, I haven't really pitched off the mound that much since I went on the DL. So just looking to go out there and have an outing where I felt good. That's what I got." Wow!
