has to be enticing for teams like the Detroit Tigers—who have lost
Miguel Cabrera to injury for the rest of the year. For virtual peanuts, they can get a reasonable 1B replacement for
Miggy—and, hey, Hanley
might just catch fire! It's not like the Tigers are going anywhere this year, so a short-term rental like Ramirez would seem to be a no-brainer. The Tiger blog
Motor City Bengals even sees the possibility of
a hot Hanley being "flipped" to a contender at the trade deadline. Of course, in this scenario, the Tabbys would have to move pretty quickly.
