Red Sox Pick Late (#26 Overall) In Round One Of Tonight's 2018 MLB Draft
One of downsides of success in major-league baseball is selecting pretty low in the first-year player draft. As such, your Carmine Hose will pick 26th in the first round of tonight's 2018 MLB Draft. Most people think the Red Sox will take a collegiate hurler who is fairly close to contributing at the big-league level—given the injuries to top pitching prospects like Jay Groome. Nevertheless, Boston has been most-often linked to Clemson OF/1B Seth Beer. Come on, admit it, you'd love to have a guy named "Beer" on the Red Sox—think of the Sam Adams endorsement possibilities! Reportedly, Beer is an on-base machine with power. Other players mentioned as possibilities are: High-School SS Brice Turang and Ryan Rolison, a left-handed pitcher from the University of Mississippi. While we'd love a beer right now, we think Boston's choice will be Rolison. Catch all the action tonight at 7PM Eastern on MLB Network.
