Muddy Chicken Dealing With Just Knee Inflammation, Surgery Not Needed
Dustin Pedroia—and the Red Sox—got some good news yesterday. The second-baseman will not need any further surgery on his left knee—as the current discomfort that put him on the DL is caused by inflammation. According to manager Alex Cora, The Laser Show will be able to resume baseball activities in a couple of days, "With Pedey, everything about the surgery is fine. He just has inflammation. I was actually talking to him during the game. It's kind of like with David (Price). After he saw the doctor, now he said at least he can calm down and get treatment. Hopefully he'll be with us sooner rather than later. It's nothing that has to do with surgery, so that's good. Treatment tomorrow. He hasn't gotten treatment the last two days and we go from there. I think he should be back to baseball activities slowly but surely probably starting in two days." Stay tuned.
