Xander 'Bogie-Two-Bags' Bogaerts Clubhouse Leader For March/April Honors
It's still wicked early, but Xander Bogaerts is clearly the 'leader in the clubhouse' for the honor of FenwayNation's March/April Player Of The Month. In the first five games of the season, Bogie is hitting .455 with an OPS of 1.273. The shortstop has five doubles already and has also scored five runs. He has a HR to his credit and has knocked in two runs. He's slugging a ridiculous .818 and sports an on-base percentage of .455. Others in the running for the honor so far are: Mookie Betts, Christian Vazquez, Rafael Devers, Hanley Ramirez and any one of the five Red Sox starters (depending on how their next few starts go). Of course, someone else may emerge over the next few weeks (someone not even on our radar screens) to scoop away the award. Stay tuned, it should be a fun April!
