Hanley Ramirez Puts Florida Home On Market For Nearly Four Million Dollars
Red Sox infielder/DH Hanley Ramirez has placed his Weston, Florida home on the market for $3.99 million. In an interesting commentary on Florida real estate values, he bought the house eight years ago for $3.95 million. Not exactly a killing. The home has over 9,000 square feet of living space with lots of privacy. It's got seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a home theatre—all on a lot comprising over 43,000 square feet. Said Hanley, "We are extremely grateful to what the city of Weston offered us during our stay there. Our children enjoyed the privacy, security and most of all the amazing A+ schools. We truly loved our time in this home. However, as our children grew, they wanted to explore other activities which led us to relocate. I pray the next homeowners are as blessed and grateful as we were in this home." After trading him away for Mike Lowell and Josh Beckett in 2005, Boston signed Ramirez to a four-year $88 million contract in 2014.
