Evil Ones Lurking In The Shadows As They Start To Coalesce In The Bronx
Taking the series from the Blue Jays—and going 6-3 overall on a tough road trip—is obviously welcome news to Red Sox fans. After all, Toronto was characterized as the chief threat to Boston's early lead in the American League East. Not so fast, pine-tar breath! In fact, The Bronx Embalmers have now slithered into second place in the division (winning six in a row)—and are just four games back of your Carmine Hose. They are cranking on all cylinders lately—getting decent pitching and going "yard" with greater frequency. Yesterday, it was Gary Sanchez who walked-off The Pinstripe Posers in the 9th inning with a three-run HR. And even the annoying Tyler Austin is hitting .290, with 5 HRs of his own, along with 16 RBIs. Not to mention Giancarlo Stanton (5 HRs, 15 RBIs) and Aaron Judge (7 HRs, 17 RBIs). They are starting to hit their stride and will be hosting the Red Sox in the not-too-distant future (May 8-10). Beware, this is not good.
