Clash Of Titans: Red Sox Face Shohei Ohtani And Halos For Top Spot In MLB
Tonight, at the ungodly hour of 10:07PM Eastern, the Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels Of Anaheim (the two best teams in baseball right now) will square-off for the first time in 2018. On top of all that drama, 'the biggest thing to hit MLB' in a long time—pitcher/hitter Shoehei Ohtani—will be on the hill for the Halos in the opener (along with his 100 MPH fastball). After an abysmal Spring Training, Ohtani has been on a tear—in both of his capacities. As a starting pitcher, he is 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA. In thirteen innings of work, he has struck out 18 batters—an surrendered just four hits. At the plate, he's hitting .367, with 3 HRs and 11 RBIs—in just 30 ABs. He is a legitimate two-way phenomenon—like nothing we've seen since Babe Ruth wore Carmine Hose way back in 1918-1919. This should be an extremely entertaining three-game set. Stay up late—at least for tonight's game.
