George Herman "Babe" Ruth was born 123 years ago today. During his stint in
Carmine Hose, he was
primarily a dominant pitcher—although he led the majors in home runs (29) in his final year in Boston. He also drove in 113 runs in that final season (1919) and had on OPS of 1.114. Oh, did we mention that he started 15 games—winning 9 with a 2.97 ERA? Of course, a stiff like that
had to be traded away—right,
