According to multiple reports on Thursday, the Red Sox have signed IF Eduardo Núñez to a one-year contract—pending the results of a physical. The physical is more than just a formality since Núñez seriously injured his knee as a member of the Red Sox in last year's playoffs. In 38 games after coming over in a trade with the Giants last year, Núñez hit .321, with an .892 OPS.
