Major League Baseball
has suspended Red Sox minor-league backstop Jake Romanski 100 games for testing positive for amphetamines. This is the second such suspension for Romanski—a 27-year-old catcher who played a total of 48 games for both the AA Sea Dogs and AAA Pawtucket Red Sox in 2017 (.250, 1 HR, 11 RBIs). He was also suspended in 2016 for
another positive amphetamine test. Clearly, things are not looking good for Romanski—although no official comment has come down yet from the Red Sox organization.
