Red Sox great
Pedro Martinez will have another Hall of Fame honor soon—as
he will be inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall Of Fame. After being drafted by the Dodgers, Pedro was traded to
Les Expos for the immortal
Delino DeShields. Pedro won the NL Cy Young award with Montreal in 1997. The following year he was acquired by
Dan Duquette—and the rest is Red Sox history. As the Canadian Hall website put it,
"Sadly, due to the organization’s financial constraints, the Expos dealt him to the Boston Red Sox following the season." Indeed. Congratulations, Pedro on your new Hall honor!
