The Muddy Chicken managed to play in only 105 games last season due to those knee issues—and will turn 35-years-old on August 17th. Despite his shortened 2017 season, he was still one of the best hitters on the team—with a .293 average, .369 OBP and .760 OPS. He also knocked in 62 runs. His return sometime in May will be a welcome sight around Fenway Park.
