Today's quote from
David Price regarding former Red Sox manager
John Farrell is destined to go down in team history
as one of the most telling ever. Said the lefty of the erstwhile skipper's sacking,
"Honestly I didn't care. I didn't have a problem with manager John. I didn't have a problem with him." Clearly, using that cynical sobriquet—
and not the man's actual name—speaks volumes about what Price
really thought of Farrell. We really
want to be on Price's side—sometimes he seems like a decent person. Plus, we
need him to live up to his $30 million paycheck if we have any chance of beating
The Evil Ones. But, you know, he keeps making it difficult to support him with press conferences like today's.
