He had a small cup of decaffeinated coffee with the Red Sox in 2012 (as part of

Ivan DeJesus Jr. has
returned to the organization. Boston announced that
it has signed the 30-year-old to a minor-league contract. DeJesus performed well in the Brewers system last year—hitting .345 in 112 games at AAA. He will likely compete for a spot on the roster to serve as
severely-needed infield depth—at least for the
first part of the 2018 season until
Dustin Pedroia returns from injury.
