the Red Sox are not the only team to have a five-year offer on the table for
J.D. Martinez. At least
one other team—among Toronto, Arizona, San Francisco and Atlanta—has
also made a similar offer of years. Heyman postulates that this circumstance may force
Dave Dombrowski to go to a
six-year offer—which could seal the deal.
