Well, the various "imminent" trades of
Giancarlo Stanton are not quite as "imminent-y" as we once thought. According to
ESPN.com's
Jerry Crasnick, a trade of the NL MVP "isn't close to completion". Crasnick reports that the two "general framework" deals with the Giants and Cardinals are complicated with "a lot of moving pieces". Apparently, the big "moving piece" is Stanton's stubborn hold on his no-trade clause. This is quickly turning into a debacle for
Derek Jeter—who understandably wants to unload Stanton's ridiculous salary. Stay tuned!
