multiple sources make it through our "sieve". So, here goes:
NBCSportsBoston (which we
think used to be
ComcastSportsNet NewEngland, but we're not
really sure) cites "a person with knowledge of the slugger's thinking" that
Stanton is "completely open-minded" about his possible landing spots—including Boston. So, that's two sources this morning with more positive assessments about Stanton donning
Carmine Hose. Once again, however, take all of these reports (even the ones that we convey) with a
HUGE grain of
Morton's and/or
Diamond Crystal salt.
