Doug Fister signed a one-year, $4 million deal with Texas that includes a club option for 2019. If everything goes well for the right-hander over the next two seasons, the deal could balloon to a maximum of $11.5 million. During the second-half of 2017, the 33-year-old Fister was effective for the Red Sox—posting a 4.88 ERA and boosting his strikeouts.
