As the Astros and Dodgers get set for a Game 7 showdown in
La-La Land, the controversial Game 3 actions of Houston's
Yuli Gurriel are re-surfacing. Gurriel—after homering off Dodger starter
Yu Darvish—made an offensive taunt in the dugout aimed at Darvish's Asian heritage. While Gurriel later apologized publicly, Darvish has refused his offer of a private, one-on-one rapprochement. Meantime,
Darvish's Dodger teammates are pledging to win one for their Game 7 starter tonight. Said Darvish of Gurriel's offer,
"I told him, 'Hey, you don't have to do that, because you made a comment, and, like, I'm not that mad,' So, like, I really didn't care that much about that." Stay tuned for Gurriel's first at-bat tonight against Darvish.
