Empire Lies Three Games From Golf, Fall 2-1 To 'Stros
Lefty Dallas Keuchel fanned ten Bronx Embalmers over seven innings—leading his Houston Astros to a 2-1 win and 1-0 series lead in the American League Championship Series. The 'Stros pushed across two runs in the fourth—on speed, guile and execution—which was enough to hold up for the victory. The true AL MVP—Jose Altuve—went three for four and made a stellar play in the field. The Evil Ones got a solo shot from Greg 'Don't Call Me Larry' Bird (#33 on the Yankees), but it wasn't enough. Former Red Sox OF Jacoby Ellsbury whiffed to end the game. Yankees in the DH spot this postseason are 0-22 with 8 Ks. Three games to Yankee Elimination Day! (Getty Images)
