Bill de Blasio (AKA
Warren Wilhelm, Jr.) is a Red Sox fan. No matter what you think of his politics, you gotta love him for that. Although born in the borough of Manhattan, de Blasio was
raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Hence, his hardball allegiance. In one of the greatest political/sports quotes of all time, de Blasio stated recently,
"I am a crazed, rabid baseball fan and Red Sox fan. It is constitutionally impossible to 'root' for the New York Yankees." As part of the duties of his office, however,
he recently had to make good on a bet with the Mayor of Houston—so craft beers and cannolis are headed back to Texas.
