Not only is Boston 3B
Rafael Devers making a big impression on Red Sox fans—he's turning the heads of the stat geeks as well. The 20-year-old set
a modern MLB record by clouting three home runs and a total of thirteen hits in his first eight games before turning 21.
That has never been done before—at least since 1900. Not to draw any undue comparisons to past Red Sox lefties—but Devers is currently hitting .406.
