Red Sox President
Sam Kennedy appeared on
WEEI's Kirk And Callahan program this morning. He was asked whether the cutting loose of
Pablo Sandoval (and his huge contract) could be repeated in 18 months with a disgruntled
David Price. You would
expect a politically-correct and swift denial from a representative of the NOG (New Ownership Group), right?
Wrong, Gulden's Mustard Breath! Here's what Kennedy actually said:
"Maybe. We'll see." Say what? Not exactly a vote of confidence in the lefty—who can opt out of his huge contract after next season. Stay tuned, sports fans!
