Red Sox President
Sam Kennedy appeared today on
WEEI's 'Ordway, Merloni & Fauria' show stating that
he personally apologized to
Dennis Eckersley for the
PriceGate fiasco on the team plane. Said Kennedy,
"He received one [a phone call] less than 12 hours after it happened", waking up the
Hall Of Fame pitcher at his hotel. This whole episode is increasingly suggestive of a dysfunctional ballclub—along the lines of the 2011
"Chicken & Beer" crowd that fans learned to hate until the
Great Punto Trade Of 2012 broke them up.
