Judge, Schmudge! Our
own organizational home run hero—Pawtucket Red Sox OF
Bryce Brentz—won the AAA Home Run Derby at that league's All-Star Game in Tacoma, Washington last night. The 28-year-old Brentz—who has had numerous cups of coffee with the big club over the years—is having his best professional season. The right-handed hitter has 18 HRs so far for the PawSox—hitting .270 with 49 RBIs. In the Derby itself, Brentz ended up clouting 38 HRs. He
may come up to Boston at some point this season to serve as a fourth outfielder.
