Yikes! In wake of
the resignation of Boston Globe Media CEO Doug Franklin (over "differences" with
John Henry), the Red Sox (and Globe) honcho has vowed to become a "more active publisher" going forward. Meaning, apparently, that he'll show up at the office more than once a month. That has
got to send shivers down the collective spine of employees at the Globe's new downtown headquarters—formerly housed (since forever) at Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester. After all, the only thing worse than a
missing leader is a
meddling leader—who thinks he knows everything about running a newspaper. Good luck!
