Who knows why, but apparently the Kansas City Royals are interested in signing
Pablo Sandoval. The Royals obviously are fine at 3B with
Mike Moustakas (enjoying a resurgent year), and DH can't be a possibility, since
The Panda can't hit the side of a bamboo tree. So, no one—
not even Kansas City writers—can quite figure out why Royals GM
Dayton Moore would have
any interest in Sandoval. Chalk it up to the
Bizarro World of Trade Deadline Rumors.
