Sox Legend Jerry Remy Again Diagnosed With Cancer
Former Red Sox player and current broadcaster Jerry Remy tweeted on Monday afternoon that he has again been diagnosed with lung cancer. In the tweet, Remy states that he is "still strong", and urges all of his followers to "please see your doctor". He also noted that treatment for the disease will start in two weeks' time. It's unclear what impact his treatment will have on his broadcasting duties at NESN. The Boston Globe reports that Remy will have surgery in two weeks—after the completion of a Red Sox road trip. All of us in Red Sox Nation send out our best wishes to Jerry for a very speedy recovery.
