Kimbrel (L); Sale (R) |
Honestly, you don't have to wait for the dumb "reveal" show on ESPN Sunday night. The votes are all in (as of midnight) and
there will be no Red Sox position players as starters in the 88th All-Star Game. There
were a couple of 'top five' finishes (
Dustin Pedroia,
Xander Bogaerts), but no
Carmine Hosers really ever had a shot. Of course, it is
extremely likely that
Chris Sale will be the starting pitcher for the American League on July 11th in Miami. Moreover, there's a
fantastic chance that the AL's best closer,
Craig Kimbrel, will be in the Junior Circuit's 'pen.
