Brett Netzer At Bat |
With their third pick in the
2017 MLB Draft (#101 overall), the Red Sox selected second baseman
Brett Netzer from UNC Charlotte. The 6', 192-pound Netzer has consistently hit well during his three years in college (.318, .384, .342). Scouts say he has a "quick" left-handed bat and doubles power. His shift to second base was due mostly to a weak OF arm—and he is still learning at the new position.
