David Price had a couple of hiccups last night, but for the most part, he pitched like we've all
expected he would pitch. The lefty went seven innings, giving up three earned runs on six hits. He struck out seven and walked none in
the eventual 6-3 Boston win. On the offensive side,
Mookie Betts (2-4, HR, 2 RBIs),
Hanley Ramirez (1-3 HR, RBI, 2 R), and
Jackie Bradley, Jr. (3-4, RBI) led the way.
Tzu-Wei Lin also had two hits—including his first MLB triple. The win—coupled with another
Empire loss in Chicago—vaulted the Red Sox back into sole possession of first place in the AL East.
