Joe Kelly's 104 MPH fastball thrown to Aaron Judge was the fastest in Major League Baseball this season. Kelly previously owned the fastest 2017 pitch with an April 28th 102.2 MPH fastball. Since the speed was registered on a Yankee Stadium (WPIX) gun, we have to believe it was real—the later "correction" notwithstanding. What's
really cool is that Kelly came back and struck out Judge on a 93 MPH 'off-speed' pitch. Love it!
