No matter what you think of the current political landscape, it's always good when prominent national media types are vocal Boston sports fans. Such is the case with MSNBC's
Joe Scarborough—who never misses an opportunity to demostrate his loyalty to the Red Sox (
which we love!). However, in the wake of yesterday's "FaceLiftGate" tweeting controversy, MSNBC's
Willie Geist said Scarborough and his soon-to-be new spouse
Mika Brzezinski skipped last night's Red Sox game
because they didn't want to become a public spectacle. Seriously? How many Red Sox fans do you think would either a.) recognize them, or b.) care about whether or not they were there. The Millennials in the crowd don't watch news on TV—and are too busy taking selfies, anyway. The rest of the crowd are actual fans paying attention to the proceedings on the field. Hey, Joe and Mika: don't flatter yourselves.
