Mookie Goes Yard |
Eduardo Rodriguez is on a run—delivering
another "quality start" that makes you think he might become the top-line starter the Orioles though he would be. Last night, E-Rod went six solid innings, giving up just three runs on five hits and striking out five in
the 6-3 win. The offense was supplied mostly by
Mookie Betts (lead-off HR, 2 RBIs) and
Jackie Bradley, Jr. (2-3, HR)—along with
Dustin Pedroia (key go-ahead RBI). The on-again/off-again bullpen did its job—going three innings an giving up just one hit.
Craig Kimbrel continued his ninth-inning dominance with an 8-pitch save. This was a solid win on the road against a surging NL team—a great way to start the road trip.
