From the way the Philadelphia press corps talks about it,
Clay Buchholz may be out of The City Of Brotherly Love before August 1.
The Fightins are going nowhere fast, and if Clay is performing well enough in mid-summer, he's likely to be dealt to a contender (even a potentially
David Price-free Boston Red Sox team). Ironically, Buchholz feels less pressured in the snake pit of Philadelphia fandom than he did in Boston. Said Clay,
"Coming from an organization that has scrutiny comes with the territory, you learn how to have a short memory with the successful outings and a short memory with the ones that are not so successful. If it's really good, you have 24 hours to pat yourself on the back but then you forget about it because you got four days to get ready for the next outing. And the same that takes place with the snowball [negative] effect." Yeah, that's about right.
