Red Sox manager
John Farrell announced on Wednesday afternoon that reliever
Robby Scott had made the Opening Day roster. This means that
the club with go North will three left-handers in the bullpen—Scott,
Robbie Ross, Jr. and the immortal (and aptly-named)
Fernando Abad. Given all the pitching injuries this Spring (hey, Red Sox medical staff, nice shoulder rehab work!), this reliever configuration is probably not all that surprising. Again, pitcher health could be the deciding factor in whether this team
seriously contends or not. Stay tuned!
