Red Sox legend and NESN broadcaster
Jerry Remy revealed today that he is still battling cancer. Despite the revelation, he says he still plans to be the primary color analyst on Red Sox telecasts this season. Remy missed a large chunk of the 2009 season recovering from lung cancer and serious depression. He announced a relapse in 2013, but continued broadcasting in that championship season. Remy will hold a press conference this afternoon to address these issues further.
